Family Learning and Information for Families, Parents and Carers

What is Family Learning

The Nottinghamshire branch of Life Education East Midlands provides Family Learning courses, funded by Inspire Learning and Nottinghamshire City Council. Our courses are developed to help you help your children and can be delivered online via Zoom or at your school.

“The program has been great to bond and share learning experiences with new people and for our children gaining confidence along the way and finding out that not all apps are scary, that they are there to help you learn”

“The course has definitely been very helpful and useful in helping us as a family become much more aware of online safety, how we can be more careful and think before posting anything online, also information on using various tools and websites/apps that are available to help.”

WORKSHOPS

Various different workshops – 2.5 hour session to introduce Family Learning and offer a stepping stone to our courses.

“I felt the course was very helpful and provided tools and ideas to use to assist my children. I found it helpful being able to access it over Zoom as it is difficult sometimes to attend in person. It was also very comforting to hear other parents/carers in the same position and that school is also actively trying to support children and parents.”

“Family Learning improves health and employability, and increases involvement in community, cultures and sport.”

We are very grateful to our delivery partners who provide the funding for these courses.
